49ers-Packers TV schedule: NFL Network will join the game an hour in

Fooch’s update: The reason for the delay cutting in is CBS has a national game (Browns-Bucs) starting at 5 p.m. PT, and broadcast rights prevent NFL Network from showing their game while the other game is still airing.

The San Francisco 49ers-Green Bay Packers contest will get live coverage Friday, evening, but not for the entire game. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. PT, but NFL Network is not cutting into it until 8 p.m. PT. I’m not entirely sure why that is the case, but it is worth noting if you are watching the game tonight outside the Bay Area. If you’re in the Bay Area, the game will air on the local CBS station.

If you don’t live in the Bay Area and want to watch the whole game, now is a perfect time to sign up for the free trial of NFL Gamepass. They show all the games online, and it will not be blacked out just because it will show up on NFL Network. With the free week trial, you can keep it for today’s game, and then also for next Thursday’s preseason finale against the San Diego Chargers. Just remember to cancel right after that game or they will charge you $99 for the season.
