So we had practice, practice, padded practice, and now I return to report on the going-ons of the San Francisco 49ers’ day off. Seems like things are moving right along. We’ve had a few players rise above the rest in the short time they’ve had with Chip Kelly watching, and some like Jerome Simpson have been mentioned by the 49ers head coach.

It seems things are going a lot smoother than last year where the news was Tomsula’s cell phone breaks and ‘fix-it’ sessions were the good parts of the practice. It’d be nice if we get a mic’d up of Chip Kelly (just as long as it isn’t 5 minutes of him screaming “TEMPO!!!”)

Just before I scheduled this to go out news hit that the 49ers have extended middle linebacker Navarro Bowman. Reports indicate he will be signed through 2022 and finish the contract when he is 34 years old.
