Good morning everyone. Training camp is well and truly here, which means ... a whole lot of hyperbole and a whole lot overreacting. Of course, that’s the first sign that football is just about here and that’s all that matters. We’ve got plenty of time for hyperbole and overreacting over the next few months, and training camp is something of a warmup.
NaVorro Bowman got a new deal, and I’m fine with it. Bowman is an amazing player and it was the least the 49ers could do.
This weekend though, more important things are afoot: the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2016 Enshrinement Ceremony. I usually have to work during said ceremony and it’s annoying trying to transcribe speeches — but this year I’m not and I’m looking forward to seeing Eddie DeBartolo give his speech with my full attention.
It’s about time DeBartolo got in. He deserved it many years ago and I’m not entirely sure why he didn’t get in sooner, but I’m just happy he’s getting this while he can appreciate it fully. Onto your links for the day.
