Well...that sucks. The San Francisco 49ers suffered their first injury casualty with the announcement of Eric Rogers’s torn ACL. He’ll be out for the season and gets to go through the grueling rehab of ACL surgery. Those things aren’t fun-the surgery and the rehab. I had to help a family member through one last year (the first week of her recovery no less) and it was one of the most painful experiences I’ve witnessed; The rehab is brutal, the pain is nearly unbearable and you quite literally can’t do anything for a few months. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery and he makes it back to the field next season.
But on a happy note: in a few hours Eddie DeBartolo jr., the former owner of the 49ers will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. While his time is a bit overdue, he’s definitely made it in when he can enjoy it, and that’s really all that matters. We’ll have a schedule and times for all of you later today.
