Shortly before NaVorro Bowman signed his four-year contract extension, he decided to have a little fun with 49ers fans. The team has a merchandise store set up in downtown San Francisco 49ers (near the Powell St. cable car turnaround). They had him wear a nametag of some random person and had him working in the store. He chose Maurice (very quickly, too!), and then wandered the store offering to help people. People eventually recognized Bowman, but he said it took about 20 minutes. It reminds me of the time Jerry Rice drove a Lyft car around and gave people rides, only most of them didn’t recognize him. It’s cheesy and just promoting the business, but it’s still funny.
LB @NBowman53 just signed a 4-year contract extension.
