Typically, week 4 of preseason seems to get less attention due to the fact that the starters are not playing. I’m pretty sure I won’t pay much attention to many of the games happening tomorrow, but I’ll be paying closer attention than I usually do to the 49ers preseason game.
For one thing, Colin Kaepernick is starting, and it will be nice to see how he performs once more. Maybe the competition isn’t officially over, but it certainly feels like he’s got to go completely nuts if he’s going to wrestle it from Gabbert at this point. Perhaps we may still see him in the regular season (if he’s on the roster, it’s a good bet to make).
So having Kaepernick start will at least make this a bit more interesting. But I’m a homer, I’ll watch week 4 into the 4th quarter even if it’s a bunch of guys I know that won’t be making the roster.
