San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick took the field with the other quarterbacks about ten minutes ago, and there were some boos for him. The San Diego Chargers stadium is not particularly full, with estimates of 7,000 or so fans on hand for the game, an hour before kickoff. I imagine it will be a mostly late arriving crowd, but still small given that it’s the last game of the preseason.
Alex Flanagan got some video of Kaepernick’s entrance:

We don’t see the crowd behind the camera, but it’s vocal. I’m guessing the mic was close enough to build it up. 49ers beat writers offered up some of their own observations.

The boos ended after a few seconds. Kaepernick now throwing, sans heckling, with QBs. #49ers

A smattering of boos for Colin Kelly and Marcus Martin as they take the field.
