The San Francisco 49ers jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the Los Angeles Rams in their season opener, putting together a solid 10-play 52-yard drive. The passing game was primarily short stuff by Blaine Gabbert, but the ground game was critical. Gabbert scrambled for 16 yards, and the drive was capped by this 11-yard touchdown run.
Gabbert handed off to Hyde, and the 49ers running back made a nice stutter-step before bursting through a huge opening. Right guard Andrew Tiller made a solid pulling block, and Garrett Celek made a big block of his own, pulling over behind Tiller. It opened a hole for Hyde, who had no problem getting to the end zone.
