Fooch’s update: There was some question about the black Color Rush shown for the Cardinals. Uniwatch rolled this out:

The NFL is rolling out “Color Rush” uniforms for Thursday Night Football games this season, and the San Francisco 49ers version will actually just be their black and red alternates. The 49ers are on Thursday Night Football in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Team president Al Guido confirmed this to Matt Maiocco back on September 9, and now we have a picture to further confirm it. The NFL tweeted this out Tuesday morning:
The folks at UniWatch posted a picture of a representative from each of the 32 teams together wearing Color Rush uniforms.
You can see NaVorro Bowman just to the left of the middle of the picture wearing the black and red. There had been rumors in the offseason of an all-gold or all-red uniform, but thankfully those proved false. The black and red are solid, albeit with one significant issue. The red numbers lack any notable trim around them, and that makes it difficult to pick players out on the field. A little gold trim for the numbers would have made these alternates really great. I like a black uniform, but it needs trim.
There is one odd thing about this. The Arizona Cardinals appear to also have a black and red alternate. That appears to be Tyrann Mathieu sporting the Cardinals black uniform with a red number on the right side of the screen. The 49ers and Cardinals face off in this game, so they obviously will not be both wearing black with red numbers. More than likely it would appear the NFL will not be limited Color Rush to just Thursday Night Football.
Fooch’s update: The NFL issued a press release about the Color Rush uniforms, and says they’re exclusive to Thursday Night Football. So, I have no idea what the Cardinals are going to be wearing. Here’s the press release:
Thursday Night Football is about to get faster, bolder and brighter with the return of NFL Color Rush. First tested in 2015, when eight NFL clubs took the field in Color Rush uniforms, today the NFL and Nike unveiled Color Rush uniforms for all 32 NFL clubs. Comprising full-color head-to-toe look, each club’s Color Rush uniform takes inspiration from both its current and historic uniform colors and designs, combined with progressive innovation that will set the tone for the future of the game and light up Thursday Night Football.
Participating teams will take the field wearing special Color Rush uniforms (several wearing Nike’s Vapor Untouchable uniform) exclusively on Thursday Night Football in 2016, the fastest growing night of NFL football.
One hundred percent of the NFL’s proceeds from the sale of Color Rush jerseys will go directly to the NFL Foundation to fund health, safety and wellness programs for youth around the country. The NFL Foundation is the league’s nonprofit organization representing all 32 clubs and funds grants to support athletes, youth football and the communities which support our great game. The first $500,000 raised from this initiative will be earmarked to replace youth and high school football equipment and fields lost in last month’s devastating floods in Louisiana.
The Thursday Night Football Color Rush schedule for 2016 includes:
9/15 – Jets at Bills
9/22 – Texans at Patriots
9/29 – Dolphins at Bengals
10/6 – Cardinals at 49ers
10/13 – Broncos at Chargers
