Golden Nuggets: Aftermath of the shutout

Your San Francisco 49ers links for Thursday, September 15th 2016

Rather than go into something about the San Francisco 49ers, to start today’s nuggets off, I found something else quite interesting I wanted to share with you:

A post on from our friends at Turf Show Times indicated Rams coach Jeff Fisher may get a 3-year extension. Keep in mind, Fisher has not had a winning record in his five years of coaching the Rams. The best record the Rams have had in the 5 years under him is 7-8-1. The info comes from John Clayton and there’s nothing confirming a deal is in place, but Jeff Fisher certainly seems immortal.

One would think 5 years without a winning record and a blowout to start the season would make you lobby to keep your job until the end of this season, let alone get a 3-year extension. Apparently the Rams may offer it to him.

I’m sure there’s probably some good reasons in the front office for keeping him around. But then there’s word they forced him to draft Jared Goff, so I really don’t know what’s going on over there.

I’m glad I’m a 49er fan. That’s is all. Onto the links!
