The NFL kicked off the season last Thursday with its annual kickoff game, but today marks the start of “Thursday Night Football.” By that, I mean the series of games on CBS and NBC, and simulcast on NFL Network. More importantly, it means the short week game that can sometimes be fairly hideous football. There can be some entertainment out of it, but it is often not the prettiest of football.

For tonight’s game, I have the Bills covering. The line is currently at Bills +1, but I got them at +1.5. I think they win this game outright, but I think it is going to be a close one either way. The Bills could be without Sammy Watkins, which is a big hit for Tyrod Taylor. Even if he is limited, it will be something to watch. But I still think the Bills pull it out.
