Golden Nuggets: Panthers will be a big test

Your San Francisco 49ers links for Saturday, September 17th 2016

Good morning everyone. So remember what happened last year after we won our Monday Night game? Yeah, let’s hope that doesn’t happen again.

I’ve already written a post about this, but I just want to emphasize again how much I want to see the team running around in sync this game. The San Francisco 49ers do not need to win for me to feel satisfied that this team is going in the right direction, I want to see some sound football that is the exact opposite of the Pittsburgh blowout last year. If they are simply outplayed due to the talent on the field, but not making bonehead schematic calls, I’ll be happy.

What I don’t want is a gazillion penalties and stupid mistakes that is more of an indictment on the coaching staff. I think the 49ers are fine as Chip Kelly has been quite impressive so far—and this is coming from someone who was on the fence about his offense. Progress. That’s really all I need out of this game. If the 49ers win...well I was right that this team is more talented than some give them credit for.
