Welcome back for another evening of “Thursday Night Football.” The New England Patriots host the Houston Texans to kick off Week 3. CBS gets tonight’s game, with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms calling it. And they get an interesting one. The Patriots are sending out their second quarterback of the season, with Jacoby Brissett starting in place of an injured Jimmy Garoppolo. What’s crazy is this means when Tom Brady becomes the third quarterback to start for them this season, it will be the first time since pre-Drew Bledsoe that this has happened to the Patriots.

For tonight’s game, I have the Texans covering. They are one-point favorites at some shops, while the Patriots are one-point favorites at others. I should not bet against Bill Belichick, but a third string quarterback is tough to bet on. But watch Belichick and company pull a rabbit out of their hat.
