49ers-Seahawks picks and predictions: One person is picking the 49ers to win!

The San Francisco 49ers are back on the road in Week 3, facing the Seattle Seahawks. Opinions are again decidedly one-sided. We run down various picks and predictions for the game.

Week 3 is officially underway and apparently the New England Patriots grow quarterbacks on trees. A week after losing Jimmy Garoppolo to a shoulder injury, the Patriots rolled out rookie Jacoby Brissett, and didn’t lose a beat. They beat the Houston Texans with relative ease, by a final score of 27-0. New England improves to 3-0, and considering they get Tom Brady back in two weeks, they are looking mighty impressive.

That was just the appetizer for Sunday and Monday, with 14 games scheduled for Sunday, and what could be a really fun Monday Night Football matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. For our purposes however, we await the San Francisco 49ers. They are headed to Seattle for their second straight road game. They are a 9.5 point underdog against a Seahawks squad that is struggling through the first two weeks. Injuries and poor offensive line play have created a lot of problems for this offense.

The 49ers are not expected to win this game, with most people picking against them. However, there are two people picking them to cover and lose, and another person picking them to win outright! Mike Florio and Neil Greenberg expect them to cover, while ESPN’s Merrill Hoge has gone out on a limb as the only media personality I am finding who predicts a 49ers win. That’s certainly something!
