Michael Bennett thinks Colin Kaepernick gives 49ers a better chance to win

Opinions are not exactly mixed on this.

The San Francisco 49ers rivalry with the Seattle Seahawks created some bad blood in 2012 and 2013, but players are willing to admit respect for other players. Following the 49ers embarrassing Week 3 loss, Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett made it clear what he thought of the 49ers quarterback situation.

Bennett thinks Blaine Gabbert is no challenge, and Colin Kaepernick gives the 49ers the best chance to win. Jennifer Chan has this from Bennett’s post-game media session:

Bennett has never been one to shy away from offering his opinion, so I am not surprised he would comment on it when given the opening. And it’s not exactly a difficult opinion to offer. The Seahawks were content to give up the shorter stuff, and Gabbert was quick to take it, even when it was not enough distance for a first down, and defenders were prepared to pounce on the receivers. And so, the 49ers moved nowhere on offense until after the game was well out of reach.

Now, we wait to see how much longer Blaine Gabbert is the starting quarterback.
