The Cleveland Browns will not be seeing Josh Gordon on the field next week when his NFL reinstatement was due. The team and Gordon announced on Thursday that he has decided to enter an in-patient rehab treatment center.

Gordon later tweeted out a couple quick comments about the decision:
See ya soon..— Flash Gordon (@JOSH_GORDONXII) September 29, 2016
The NFL offered up this statement:
Statement from @NFLprguy on Josh Gordon: “Our concern is with Josh's well-being. We will decline comment on his status with the team.”— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 29, 2016
It remains to be seen what any of this means for Gordon’s football playing future, but for the time being, his health is what matters. Hopefully this is a matter of him recognizing problems were approaching, and he is looking to stem the tide before he loses control. Rehab is not something that is always going to work the first, second, or third time. But hopefully he gets a little better each day.
