The San Francisco 49ers finalized much of their practice squad on Sunday, announcing the signing of nine players. The unit includes the following:
WR Dres Anderson
OL Alex Balducci
OL Fahn Cooper
TE Je’Ron Hamm
CB Prince Charles Iworah
OL Norman Price
LB Marcus Rush
LB Shayne Skov
RB Kelvin Taylor
The team is also expected to sign wide receiver Chris Harper to the practice squad. He had a tweet about being grateful for the opportunity. He is likely flying to Santa Clara, and after he signs his contract and passes his physical, the team will formally announce the signing.
Elsewhere, over the last few days, Mindi Bach has had a great three-part series about Anthony Davis. Part 1 looks at his decision to retire. Part 2 looks at how he spent his year away from the NFL. Part 3 looks at why he decided to return to the NFL. It’s a really great read, and I recommend going through all three of them.
