Golden Nuggets: Week 1 is here!

Your San Francisco 49ers links for Thursday, September 8th 2016

Welcome to the 2016 season, everybody! Tonight we get our first NFL action as the Denver Broncos take on the Carolina Panthers in what could be considered a Super Bowl rematch.

I swear even when I’m not watching it, it’s nice that football is back on. Even if it’s a boring game, I just like having highlights, players to watch, college recaps etc. at my fingertips. I think the season(s) are just right across the board. If there were more games I’d probably not be as enthusiastic.

And with a new football season comes a new Madden game. Yes, I’ve been playing it and yes, there will be San Francisco 49er simulations like last year. As for the actual game, I guess I’m alone here, but haven’t been enjoying it. It had a good ‘wow’ factor for the first few hours, now it just seems like the same game I played last year, which is very infuriating given that a game with tweaks is going for $60. Then again, Electronic Arts bought that right since 2K was giving EA a run for its money.

Ok, as for the links today, mostly your normal Thursday Morning stuff. There’s a story about how the police won’t be boycotting the 49ers games due to Kaepernick’s decisions and a few good interviews/editorials. I can’t wait till Monday, folks.

Let’s get to the links!
