Golden Nuggets: And so it ends

Sunday, January 1st, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning everyone. Today is the last day ... of the regular season. At first I was going to suggest that it’s the final day that we have to suffer together, but I think we all know the suffering isn’t anywhere near ending. The San Francisco 49ers are a terrible football team and in the context of football, we’ve plenty of suffering ahead.

Maybe we deserve it. Maybe we’re spoiled because the 49ers have had more success than only two or three other teams in the entire league. But it still sucks to be going through such a terrible period, especially when there is no fix in sight. Imagine Oakland Raiders fans of the last couple years — they had a lot going for them. They knew their time was coming.

For the 49ers, that time is far away. On Sunday, they will try and hurt their draft positioning even further by trying to beat the Seattle Seahawks in the regular season finale. Let’s get right to your links, shall we?
