Golden Nuggets: 49ers coaching search continues

New, comments

Sunday, January 15th, 2017 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning everyone. Did you enjoy a little playoff football? I did not, as I was at a concert and now I can’t hear anything. But I can read, and I’ve read that the Seattle Seahawks were dominated by Kyle Shanahan and the Atlanta Falcons. I’ve also read that Michael Bennett was a sore loser and threatened a reporter after the game, so you know, football!

There’s also the New England Patriots. And I mention them because of a very, very interesting stat: this is their sixth consecutive AFC Championship. Honestly, that’s incredible. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are ridiculous. But it also made me put Jim Harbaugh’s time in San Francisco in perspective. Six consecutive AFC Championships for the Patriots ... three for Harbaugh’s 49ers.

I still can’t believe all of that shook out the way it did. I also still can’t believe that Tom Cable is considered a 49ers’ coaching candidate. If he gets the job I may have to find a different team. Onto your links, folks.
