The Atlanta Falcons are absolutely rolling the Green Bay Packers, and it is getting plenty of attention. A couple 49ers and players from around the league have been tweeting compliments about what Kyle Shanahan and the Falcons offense are doing. Now we can add a slightly more interesting piece of social media.
Clemson quarterback, and potential first round pick Deshaun Watson likes what he sees. He was once a ball boy for the Falcons, so I imagine this is not the first Falcons game he watched. Someone tweeted at him asking if he was watching the offense and that he was next up. Watson gave the tweet a like.
The 49ers hold the No. 2 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, and the quarterback position is high on their list of priorities. They will need more than just a quarterback, so it will be interesting to see how they look at Watson and his teammate, wide receiver Mike Williams. There is question as to where exactly Watson will go, but Williams is looking like a top ten pick. I don’t imagine the 49ers will land both, but maybe the 49ers grab Williams early, and Watson slips a bit? There will be all sorts of hypotheticals to consider!
