The 2017 Senior Bowl is wrapping up today, but the most important part of the week finished on Friday. The week of practice leading up to the game is when scouts, coaches, and personnel executives are tracking the players to see how they compete. The game itself holds value as well, but the practice week will likely have more observers.
Each year, the Senior Bowl hands out awards for the players who have the best practice weeks. NFL Network reporter Andrew Siciliano tweeted out the winner for each position. They are as follows:
QB: Davis Webb, Cal
RB: Jamaal Williams, BYU
WR: Cooper Kupp, Eastern Washington
OL: Dion Dawkins, Temple
DL: Dalvin Tomlinston, Alabama
LB: Haasan Reddick, Temple
DB: Rasul Douglas, West Virginia
Specialist: Jake Elliott, Memphis
Alabama TE O.J. Howard named the top practice player for the week @seniorbowl. Here are the other players recognized: pic.twitter.com/RlTWBZi8tZ
