The San Francisco 49ers players are enjoying some time off, and will return for team activities in early April with the new coaching staff. However, some players continue to deal with rehab. Linebacker NaVorro Bowman is rehabbing his torn Achilles, and he continues to make progress.
Bowman was recently at an event (more info) and had a chance to provide a comment about his recovery. You can watch video below, but here is what he had to say.
"I feel great, man. Just rehabbing every single day. A lot of guys on vacation enjoying their time, but all I can see is the light at the end of the tunnel getting ready for next year. And just trying to prove myself, and go out there and lead my team. The Achilles is getting great, not 100 percent yet, but I can definitely see that it’s gonna get there.”
Bowman suffered the injury in early October, which should give him time to get back on the field by training camp. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith tore his Achilles in early November of 2015 and was back on the field for Week 1 of this past season. Every injury is different, but this hopefully bodes well for Bowman as he continues to prepare for the 2017 season.
