Golden Nuggets: 49ers making no moves in general manager search

New, comments

Sunday, January 29th, 2016 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of San Francisco 49ers links from around the Internet.

Good morning everybody. One week from today, Super Bowl LI will be played and hopefully, our boy Kyle Shanahan will have himself quite the game. It’s important to note how great a game he called in the NFC Championship. You can talk about Julio Jones and Matt Ryan all day, but the important thing is the fact that the Falcons offense was varied, rarely predictable and effective.

Of course, Shanahan seems poised to take over as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. He’ll also likely bring someone over to be his offensive coordinator, but he will be the primary play-caller in San Francisco, or at least that’s the assumption. Shanahan can call himself a game, and to beat the New England Patriots, he’ll need to call a perfect one.

Oh and I guess the Pro Bowl is a thing that’s happening. I’m not really excited for that though I’m glad they returned to the AFC vs. NFC format and abandoned that ridiculously terrible draft format. Anyway, here’s some links.
