One of the big names in the coaching search this year is Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. He currently has four interviews lined up, including the Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, and this Friday with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers have been getting good odds at Bookmaker.eu, with Shanahan bumped into favorite status today. However, it would appear Shanahan has his eye on a more familiar spot. NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo said on Wednesday that he is hoping to follow in his father’s footsteps in Denver.
"The word around the league right now, the word with people involved in coaching searches and gathering all of this information, is that that's the job Shanahan has his eyes on -- going to Denver where his father coached."
Bookmaker.eu has Shanahan also a favorite for the Broncos job, but our friends at Bovada also have him installed as the favorite in Jacksonville. Obviously a coach cannot claim all three jobs, but they see those as strong landing spots. Bovada actually has Shanahan as slightly longer odds for the 49ers.
