Sunday Week 4 football got going early today with the New Orleans Saints beating the Miami Dolphins in Miami. The San Francisco 49ers get going at 1:05 p.m. PT, but in the meantime, we have a solid slate of eight games at 10:00 a.m.
The Los Angeles Rams are the only NFC West team in action this morning, and they face a serious challenge. The Rams are 2-1 and sitting atop the NFC West, but they are traveling to face the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas is 2-1, but has not exactly wow’d. LA beat Indianapolis and the 49ers, but lost to Washington. They need a win over a contender before they’ll be taken seriously, even in the awful NFC West.
I am also looking forward to Lions-Vikings. They both sit at 2-1, and the winner will move into a first place tie with the Green Bay Packers. Matthew Stafford is off to a strong start, but Detroit came up short last week against Atlanta. The Vikings will be without Sam Bradford, but they are 1-1 in his absence thanks in part to Dalvin Cook’s strong presence.
Here’s the full slate of Sunday morning games. We’ll be back at 11:35 a.m. with the 49ers Week 4 inactive report.
