Golden Nuggets: Tuesday Moves and News

As expected, the 49ers placed Arik Armstead on injured reserve on Tuesday. Arik suffered a broken hand in the loss to Washington, which ended his season early for the 2nd season in a row. The depth of the defensive line was a strength of the team, but injuries have mounted and that depth has taken a hit.

On Tuesday, the 49ers signed 2 defensive linemen to help with the depth. They signed Leger Douzable and Tony McDaniel. They also made a move on the offensive side of the ball. They released tight end Logan Paulsen. He had played in every game, mostly in blocking situations. Rookie tight end Cole Hikutini was added to the active roster last week. This latest move is another example of the 49ers going with the youth movement.

In off the field news, Reuben Foster and Ray-Ray Armstrong were caught in a terrible situation after the Washington game. They were reportedly victims in an attempted robbery attempt outside of a San Francisco nightclub. The robbers reportedly pulled guns on the 49ers linebackers, but Foster and Armstrong were able to run and escape. It was a bad situation, but luckily they are okay.
