The San Francisco 49ers released their second practice participation report of the week, and the Thursday report is arguably the most important of the week. Well, at the very least it is probably going to tell us the most about the coming final injury report.
The 49ers sat Kyle Juszczyk and Aaron Lynch during Thursday’s practice. At the beginning of the week, head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Lynch is week-to-week with his calf injury. It seems pretty apparent he will not play this week, and my guess is the injury costs him next week as well.
Juszczyk is dealing with a back injury that cost him Week 6, and appears set to cost him Week 7 as well. The 49ers re-signed tight end Logan Paulsen to give them another blocking option until Juszczyk gets back.
The positive news is Ahkello Witherspoon was upgraded from limited to full. He is dealing with a chest injury, but it seems like he will be good to go for Sunday. He will likely continue rotating into the cornerback depth chart with Rashard Robinson and Dontae Johnson.
