The San Francisco 49ers will play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, and as usual, we’re here to talk inactives prior to the list actually coming out.
Last week against Washington, the 49ers ruled out wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, offensive lineman Erik Magnuson, cornerback Leon Hall, defensive back Dexter McCoil, linebacker Dekoda Watson and linebacker Reuben Foster.
The 49ers ruled out Juszczyk and defensive end Aaron Lynch on the latest injury report, while both Foster and Watson are listed as questionable after limited participation in practice. I expect Foster will be in action on Sunday, and that Watson will continue to be inactive, whether due to his injuries or simply because he would be inactive regardless.
Two other linebackers, Ray-Ray Armstrong and Brock Coyle, are listed as questionable with injuries as well. I don’t think Foster’s return means either of those guys will be inactive, however.
So starting with Juszcyk and Lynch, we have two. We need five more, and I expect we can immediately add Bourne, Magnuson, McCoil and Watson to that list. That means we’re at six, and Hall doesn’t apply because he’s already been released.
Who do you think the seventh inactive will be? I’m thinking it could be a defensive back, someone like Adrian Colbert, but I think the player could come from a lot of places.
