Niners Nation DOOM Index: Post Week 7 loss to the Cowboys edition

Pass interference, number 33, defense.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers are doomed, and I don’t see a way to even argue otherwise. The Dallas Cowboys are the root of all evil as far as the NFL is concerned, and they dominated the 49ers in every aspect of the game on Sunday.

It was the worst home drubbing for the 49ers in several years and it hurt that much more because it was Dallas. They are the better football team and I expected them to win, but the fact that the defense was so bad and the offensive line looked worse than it has all year is pretty deflating.

So they are doomed. We’re doomed too. And so are you. If you think you aren’t doomed, I regret to inform you that your misguided faith is actually a symptom of your creeping doom. It will eventually come shrieking into your consciousness and you will be one of us.

One of us.

Once again, I’d like to shout out the fanpost put together by anomalousclwyd, tracking the all-time history of the DOOM Index with fancy charts. They put in a lot more work than I ever have on this series, which is cool to see.

And as usual, you can find past results from the DOOM Index at this Imgur gallery right here. Last week’s poll can be found here.

So ... how doomed are the 49ers?
