The Eagles lost a couple notable players to injury on Monday Night Football.

The Philadelphia Eagles walked away from Monday Night Football with a big win over Washington, but it was a costly one. The Eagles lost middle linebacker Jordan Hicks and left tackle Jason Peters. Hicks reportedly suffered a ruptured Achilles, while Peters is likely dealing with a torn MCL.

The Peters injury is a big one, given that he protected Carson Wentz’s blind side. Halapoulivaati Vaitai replaced Peters at left tackle, and could continue there in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers. The other option is to move Lane Johnson to left tackle and have Vaitai play right tackle.

Hicks was injured on the second play of the game. The Eagles moved weak side linebacker Nigel Bradham to middle linebacker, and brought in Najee Goode off the bench to play WILL. Mychal Kendricks was inactive with a hamstring injury, and would factor into this as well when he returns. His status for Sunday is unknown. He won’t play Sunday if the Achilles is in fact ruptured.
