The San Francisco 49ers return to practice on Thursday, as they continue their preparations for a Week 8 road game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 49ers remain winless on the season, and traveling to face the best team in the NFC is not exactly a recipe for success.
The media availability begins at 12:40 p.m., with defensive coordinator Robert Saleh conducting his weekly press conference. That will be followed by an open locker room from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. The 49ers will wrap up the day with a 1:50 p.m. practice session.
I imagine one of the big questions for Saleh will be the decision to move Eric Reid to linebacker in order to get him on the field with both Jimmie Ward and Jaquiski Tartt. Reid did not sound overly pleased with the decision, so we’ll see what Saleh has to say.
The 49ers will stream Saleh’s press conference on their website, and you can also watch it on Periscope and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the coach and player media sessions, and then the later practice. I’ve embedded our 49ers beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. If you don’t see it, click here.
