NFL: Preseason-Carolina Panthers at Baltimore Ravens Rafael Suanes-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back for Week 8 of Thursday Night Football! We’ve had some great matchups the past few weeks, but this week’s falls a little further down the spectrum. The Baltimore Ravens host the Miami Dolphins in a matchup featuring Matt Moore vs. Joe Flacco at quarterback. The game will broadcast on CBS nationally, and will be live streamed on Amazon Prime everywhere else. The game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. PT, with Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth calling the game from the booth, and Heather Cox on the sideline.

The Dolphins lost Jay Cutler for at least two or three weeks with a pair of cracked ribs, which means we get some Matt Moore action. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco was atrocious in the Ravens Week 7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Maybe we are surprised by the result of this game, but I am not holding my breath for particularly high quality football.

The Ravens are a field goal favorite, and the early money has been on the Dolphins. There is almost no way you could get me to bet on this game, but for purposes of making a pick, I’ll take the points. I have no idea who will win this shamockery of a game, but in a year that has usually favored underdogs, I might as well take the dog.
