Today, the San Francisco 49ers and Kyle Shanahan continue their quest for their first win of the season. It’s ... not going super well, and probably won’t go well on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles either. But the important thing, at least to me, is the fact that the 49ers are trying new things.
Shanahan clearly has a plan, and John Lynch is in on it. They want to figure out everything they can about every single player before they have a full offseason with which to make significant decisions to shape the team’s future. If they want to get rid of NaVorro Bowman and switch players’ positions, then I’m not too concerned with those moves.
What I am concerned with is today’s game. I’m still at that point, regardless of draft positioning, I am just rooting for these guys to get a win. Not having the potential of going winless hanging over their heads would help a lot.
