The San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles released their inactives for Week 8, and in some surprising news, linebacker Reuben Foster is INACTIVE. He suffered a rib injury last week and was limited all week in practice. Brock Coyle will likely start next to Ray-Ray Armstrong. Fooch’s update: Forgot about Eric Reid’s move to linebacker!
In expected news, right tackle Trent Brown is inactive. He missed practice all three days this week due to a concussion. He has to get cleared for football activities and get in at least a limited session before he can come back to game action.
Garry Gilliam will likely start in his place. Gilliam has been the swing tackle, so the 49ers will need to decide on somebody else for the role. With Brandon Fusco active after an injury limited him this week, Zane Beadles is likely the primary backup at tackle.
49ers inactives: WR Victor Bolden Jr., CB K’Waun Williams, DB Dexter McCoil, LB PIta Taumopenu, LB Reuben Foster, DL Aaron Lynch, OT Trent Brown
Eagles inactives: Ronald Darby, Shelton Gibson, Justin Hamilton, Taylor Hart, Jordan Hicks, Steven Means, Elijah Qualls
