The San Francisco 49ers continue their three-week road trip with a visit to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5. The game kicks off at 10:00 a.m. PT on FOX, with Thom Brennaman and Chris Spielman in the booth, and Peter Schrager on the sideline. It’s an upgrade from the Rosen/Diehl tier of the broadcast booth.
For Week 5, FOX gets the double-header, while CBS has single-game coverage. CBS covers the AFC, but the television broadcast is based on the road team. The FOX double-header features only one game in the afternoon, with the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys effectively playing a nationally televised game. That means 49ers-Colts is getting limited regional coverage. The folks at 506sports.com post weekly broadcast maps showing where each game will play everywhere in the United States. Here’s a look at where the 49ers-Colts game will be broadcast
1. Northern California - From Bakersfield, Santa Barbara north
2. Nevada - Reno market
3. Oregon - Up through Eugene market
5. Kentucky - Louisville
6. Eastern edge of Illinois and small western part of Ohio near Fort Wayne
There are not many international viewing options, as some of our resources have gone away. We used to have one for Canada and one for the Far East, but now we have neither. If you know of an international broadcast option, let us know in the comments.
Brazil: Potentially ESPN Extra
