Week of the 2017 NFL season is upon us, and the San Francisco 49ers continue their never-ending search for the first win of the Kyle Shanahan era. The 49ers continue their October road trip, traveling to the midwest to face the Indianapolis Colts. This marks the 49ers first early game, with game time set for 10:00 a.m. PT. The game will air on FOX, with Thom Brennaman and Chris Spielman calling the game from the booth, and Peter Schrager on the sideline. The 49ers are a 1.5-point underdog, according to our friends at Odds Shark.

The 49ers have come up on the short end of the stick three straight weeks, losing their last three games by a combined eight points. They lost by three on the road to the Seattle Seahawks, by two at home to the Los Angeles Rams, and then by three last week on the road to the Arizona Cardinals. They sit at 0-4, and while the playoffs are not happening, getting that first win would be really nice.

Although the 49ers are 0-4, they are 3-1 against the spread. They could snag their first outright win with a cover of this spread against a shaky at best Colts team. The Colts are 1-3 and awaiting the return of Andrew Luck. Jacoby Brissett will make his third straight start after replacing Scott Tolzien in Week 1. The Colts are coming off an ugly 48-16 loss to the Seahawks last week. The Colts actually led at halftime, and then proceeded to collapse in the second half.

The 49ers will be without safety Eric Reid and linebacker Reuben Foster, for what is hopefully the final week. The most notable other absences will be linebacker Dekoda Watson and defensive back Adrian Colbert, taking away some core special teamers. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin suffered a concussion last week, but has cleared through the protocol.

The Colts will be without tight end Jack Doyle, who also suffered a concussion. They will also be without nickel back Nate Hairston, and are dealing with a banged up cornerback in Rashaan Melvin.

Here is a full rundown of how to watch today’s game.
