49ers-Giants injury report: The limited players remain the ones to watch

The 49ers could get some reinforcements in Week 10.

The San Francisco 49ers head into their final day of practice for Week 10, and there will be seven names to watch on the injury report. The team’s Thursday practice participation report saw Elvis Dumervil get in a full practice after a veteran’s day off, and defensive tackle D.J. Jones was a full participant after a limited workout on Wednesday.

Jones was inactive last week, but it appears he’ll be good to go this week. That leaves the limited participants as the players to watch. That group includes OG Brandon Fusco, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, defensive end Aaron Lynch, linebacker Mark Nzeocha, offensive tackle Joe Staley, defensive lineman Solomon Thomas, and cornerback K’Waun Williams.

Last week, Lynch, Staley, Thomas, and Williams were all DNPs for all week of practice. I’m skeptical that Staley plays this week, and I think it makes sense to give Thomas another week to rest his knee injury and then bring him back after the Week 11 bye. But for now, it appears they are making progress. They’ll be worth watching as the 49ers prepare their final injury report later this afternoon.

DNP: TE George Kittle (ankle), LB Elijah Lee (knee), WR Trent Taylor (ribs)

Limited: G Brandon Fusco (biceps), FB Kyle Juszczyk (neck), DE Aaron Lynch (calf), LB Mark Nzeocha (neck), T Joe Staley (eye), DE Solomon Thomas (knee), CB K'Waun Williams (quadricep)

Full: LB Brock Coyle (shoulder), DE Elvis Dumervil (not injury related), LB Reuben Foster (ribs), CB Dontae Johnson (shoulder), DT D.J. Jones (knee, shoulder), S Eric Reid (knee)
