Golden Nuggets: Winless in SF

Some people are actually predicting a 49ers win this week. I personally am not sure how our beat up, patchwork quilt of a team can beat anyone at the moment. No, I am not down on our team, there are just too many guys I have not heard of before that will be having to contribute on Sunday.

Pierre Garcon, Malcolm Smith, Arik Armstead, Jimmy Ward, Joshua Garnett, Tank Carradine, Joe Staley, Solomon Thomas, Aaron Lynch, K’waun Williams, George Kittle, Trent Taylor and Jaquiski Tartt are pretty good reasons to think we may not win. Even if we do get a couple of them back in the lineup this week, I don’t know how much playing time they will get.

There is certainly a lot of defensive players on that list. I am looking forward to getting Thomas and Carradine back after the break. It will be good to see if Carradine’s play earlier in the season was a fluke. Just think, we may have Thomas, Foster, Witherspoon and Colbert starting. That is a lot of rookies no matter what the situation is. Not a bad draft, especially when you have Beathard and Kittle starting on offense with Breida and Taylor also contributing quite nicely. Hopefully we will have that kind of draft success every year.

I am sorry to see Richard Sherman out for the year. I might hate him but I don’t like seeing anyone get hurt. I wish him a speedy recovery so I can continue to hate him for at least a couple more years.
