Kyle Shanahan’s sideline demeanor is entertaining, ‘man’

This Sound FX clip is pretty entertaining

NFL: Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers Sergio Estrada-USA TODAY Sports

While the San Francisco 49ers have little to reflect on after last week’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals, they at least have this short gem of head coach Kyle Shanahan getting mic’d up on the sidelines. This clip was part of the NFL’s Sound FX show and there are certainly worse ways to spend three and a half minutes of your life.

The best parts? Well the opening when Kyle Shanahan talks to the team. It seems like every sentence ends with, “Man.” After that, it’s rather amusing watching him argue/demand flags with the referees or hope that the defense is in man coverage.

Also worth noting is the quick conversation he has with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo is concerned about his “Sam Bradford look” which Shanahan comments is making him lose all his swag.

Shanahan isn’t Jim Harbaugh. Fooch has a good post of some of the better Jim Harbaugh sideline tantrums and I even petitioned the league just super impose him in the corner of the TV during all broadcasts because he can be more entertaining than the team. Shanahan is amusing, though due to the fact you don’t see him blowing a gasket even in the worst of moments.
