The NFL still has seven weeks of football remaining, but it is already time to start voting for the 2018 Pro Bowl. The game will take place in Orlando, and while it actually does fairly decent ratings, there is a better than even chance I won’t be watching the game.
Actually, that’s not fair. If Reuben Foster gets voted to the Pro Bowl, I might watch it. He has been a dynamic playmaker for the 49ers, and while he has only played two complete games, and parts of two others, it is clear the kind of impact he can make. He’d be fun to watch in the game, and if he holds up over the 49ers final six games, I actually could see him earning a spot in the game. He’s far from a lock, but if he continues to impress, the player and coach vote could add up for him.
The fan voting closes on December 14, 2017. The rosters are determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counts one-third toward determining the 88 All Star players who will be eligible for the Pro Bowl.
Here is the full list of 49ers players on the ballot. You’ll notice quite a few notable names are missing. The 49ers injured reserve list continues to grow, and that has removed some big names from the ballot. That being said, make sure to vote early and vote often!
