San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin and his wife Morgan sat down for an interview on CBS This Morning earlier today, and you can watch the full interview above, or here.
The couple lost a child on Sunday when he was delivered stillborn at 19 weeks. Marquise played later that day against the New York Giants, and caught an 83-yard touchdown. He credited his wife for him playing on Sunday, and they both said it was for their son.
For those wondering why they would go on national TV to discuss this so soon after their loss, Morgan told CBS that it was cathartic to speak about the loss. They have received innumerable gifts and messages of support since last Sunday, and they hope to be able to help people that are going through something similar.
