Over the past year, SB Nation has been able to sit down with a variety of athletes to learn more about what made them the person they are today. The series is called Origins, and the series focuses on childhood and into high school.
The latest video features San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde. He grew up in Ohio, but moved to Naples, Florida to steer clear of trouble that was a problem for many young people in his hometown. He eventually returned to Ohio for college, but his time in Naples helped shape him. You can watch the video above, or check it out here.
