Robert Saleh press conference

The San Francisco 49ers return to practice on Thursday, as they continue their preparations for a Week 9 home game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 49ers remain winless on the season, and are dealing with a whole host of injuries this week. Their Week 11 bye can’t come soon enough.

The media availability begins at 12:55 p.m., with defensive coordinator Robert Saleh conducting his weekly press conference. That will be followed by an open locker room from 1:05 to 1:50 p.m. The 49ers will wrap up the day with a 2:05 p.m. practice session.

The defense is dealing with a host of injuries, with the loss of Jimmie Ward to a broken arm being arguably the most significant. Add in the trade of Rashard Robinson, and there should be plenty of questions about the state of the secondary.

The 49ers will stream Saleh’s press conference on their website, and you can also watch it on Periscope and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from the coach and player media sessions, and then the later practice. I’ve embedded our 49ers beat writer Twitter list so you can follow along. If you don’t see it, click here.
