DeForest Buckner is quite possibly the best player on the San Francisco 49ers roster at this point. He’s playing for a losing team, but he’s playing well, making money and apparently things are going quite well in his personal life as well: Buckner recently proposed to his girlfriend.
As pointed out by Cam Inman in this article, Buckner took to Instagram with a picture of him down on one knee, proposing. It’s adorable, but I might be more sensitive to this kind of thing because I myself got married just a couple weeks ago.
I mean, we can assume she said yes, otherwise it would be pretty weird for Buckner to post the message he did on Instagram. So it’s probably safe to say this: congrats, Buckner! It hasn’t been the easiest of seasons, but it sure must help to have things going the right way in the home life.
Hopefully Buckner will be in line for a big game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. That would be a good way to put an extra spring in his step coming off this proposal at Napa’s Andretti Winery.
Also, if ya’ll happened to care, I posted the archive of my 49-hour charity stream in this Tweet here, along with a specific video for my wedding, which is the lamest wedding in the history of weddings, as well as another Tweet with the sports block included.
That sports block included some impressive Jerry Rice and Nitus’ Dog Football play, so ya’ll should find that particularly appealing. That first link also has the link to the donation page for charity, which is live through the end of the year. Hint hint.
