Kyle Juszczyk leads NFL fullbacks in Pro Bowl voting

The 49ers could end up with a few representatives this year.

The San Francisco 49ers actually have a player ranking high in Pro Bowl balloting! The NFL announced the first round of results earlier this week, and Kyle Juszczyk currently leads fullbacks in voting with 116,816 votes. By comparison, leading AFC vote-getter Tommy Bohanon (Jacksonville Jaguars) has 44,564.

If you go to the Pro Bowl ballot, you’ll find 18 players listed among the fullbacks. The fullback position has decreased across the NFL, which likely contributed to Juszczyk’s high vote total. He was a Pro Bowler last year, and I wouldn’t be surprised if people did a quick Google search to get their vote in.

The fan vote continues until December 14. The rosters are determined by a combination of fan, player and coach votes. My guess is Joe Staley and DeForest Buckner get voted to the team. I could also see Eric Reid in as a safety. He has shown a lot in his new strong safety role, and honestly, his protest work might have raised his profile among other players.

The Super Bowl will result in some players skipping out on the game, and of course, plenty of players will skip it because of injuries. That opens the door for more 49ers, depending on how the rest of the season goes.
