The San Francisco 49ers lost another one to the Seattle Seahawks, largely due to inept offense and a good chunk of the team being fielded by undrafted free agents while the starters hit injured reserve. In case you didn’t know, starting quarterback C.J. Beathard took a hit with around a minute left, forcing an early exit and giving a turn to Jimmy Garoppolo. Within one minute, Garoppolo completed two passes totaling 19 yards and a touchdown.
This amazing, god-like performance of a quarterback netted him a 145.8 passer rating.
Oh, but we’re not done. If you think this doesn’t mean anything, you’re wrong. It means something. Because taking this current rating into account with the career rating for his time in New England makes him No. 1. Show it!
Highest career passer rating, NFL history, minimum 90 career passes:
— Michael David Smith (@MichaelDavSmith) November 27, 2017
110.1 Jimmy Garoppolo
104.1 Aaron Rodgers
103.0 Deshaun Watson
The 49ers face the Chicago Bears next. We’ll see if C.J. Beathard can keep up with these amazing numbers and if Garoppolo will continue holding a clipboard. If Garoppolo does take the sideline again, be happy for what’s to come.
