The San Francisco 49ers have a big Wednesday in front of them as they continue preparations to face the Chicago Bears in Week 12. The 49ers dropped to 1-10 this past weekend with a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but the game saw the debut of Jimmy Garoppolo in the final 67 seconds.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan will meet with the media at 12:40 p.m. PT, and he will discuss Tuesday’s announcement that Garoppolo is replacing C.J. Beathard as the team’s starting quarterback. The announcement was expected today, but came a day earlier, likely to prevent a leak. Once Shanahan wraps up his press conference, Garoppolo will meet with the media. Practice gets going at 1:40, with it open to the media until team drills begin. The first practice participation report will be released later in the afternoon.
The 49ers will stream Shanahan’s press conference on their website, and you can also watch it on Periscope and the team’s app. The 49ers beat writers will also have updates from Shanahan’s session and those of the players.
