The San Francisco 49ers are back home in Week 9, marking the start of a month without having to leave Santa Clara. The 49ers wrapped up a three-game road trip with another ugly loss. After hanging close with the Philadelphia Eagles for the first half, they ended up losing 33-10 to drop to 0-8.

The 49ers will have three home games and a bye week before heading back on the road, so at least they have that going for them. This week, they host the Arizona Cardinals in the second matchup between the division rivals. The 49ers lost the last one 18-15 in overtime, losing on a last-second touchdown pass to Larry Fitzgerald.

This time around, Drew Stanton is starting for Arizona after Carson Palmer suffered a broken arm. He faces C.J. Beathard, who is making his third start since replacing Brian Hoyer. Jimmy Garoppolo is waiting on the sidelines to move into the starting lineup, but it likely won’t happen this week.

That aside, Week 9 media picks think the 49ers can keep this close, and potentially spring the modest upset as two-point underdogs. Can it finally happen?
