Anthony Davis is going into the marijuana business

That’s one way to spend retirement!

We have not heard from former San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis in quite a while, but he recently popped up again. Davis appears to have found a new business venture in retirement: developing a commercial marijuana venture.

In 2016, California voters approved Proposition 64, which legalized recreational marijuana. It is not a simple matter of simply legalizing marijuana and being done with it. The proposition’s passage initially made it legal to use, possess, and share marijuana, as well as grow it at home. Initially, recreational marijuana could not be purchased, but one person can give marijuana to another person.

Starting some time in 2018, there will be regulations formally in place that will allow for marijuana sales, as we are seeing on Colorado, Washington, and other states. Given that California has the biggest economy in America, it’s safe to say this could get pretty big, pretty quickly. Plenty of people are going to jump into this, and Davis appears to be one of them.

If you can’t see the caption on Davis’ video above, it says, “2018 We will be producing some of the Highest Grade Medical and Recreational Marijuana products on the Market. Also, Dispensary-Lounge in Northern California, one of the first of its kind in America. #KJMData⚗️ Official Name Undecided. #StayTuned.”

So, if you’re in California and looking for marijuana when it goes commercial in the coming year, AD is your guy!
